On Friday, April 24, a miniature horse sale was held in Shipshewana, Indiana. The highest selling horse was #10, Lucky Four Rebels Gallantry, a 1999 33.75 inch sorrel stallion by Sid’s Rebel out of Hidden Meadows Heaven Sent, who sold for $5,250. He was World Futurity Champion and World Top 10 in 2001, and registered in both the AMHA and AMHR. The highest selling mare was lot # 50, Tall Pine Echos Party Girl, a 31.5 inch buckskin mare by Little Kings Buck Echo out of Star K Calamity Jane. Sold as a 3-in-1 package with a filly at side and bred back to Little Kings Ballistic Bukaroo, she brought $3000. She also was both AMHA and AMHR registered. Four geldings went through the sale, the highest selling being a pair of grey unregistered driving geldings bringing a price of $350 each.
The top ten selling horses averaged $2,465. A total of 64 horses were sold, with an overall average sale price of $795.
