The 2010 Diamond-McNabb Ranch Horse Sale was held June 5th at the Powderhorn Ranch in Douglas, Wyoming. Seventy-one well broke ranch horses of varying ages were offered to the public, and every one sold.
The high selling horse of the sale was a buckskin AQHA gelding, Jets Steel Bar, who brought $18,500. By Jets Duplicate and out of Steels Feisty Bar, “Dusty” had sorted cows, worked colts, led pack strings, and was used by several young people for trail riding and roping.
The 71 head grossed $461,300 with an average sale price of $6,497 and a sale percentage of 100%. The Top 5 horses brought $73,250, for an average of $14,650. It made no difference if the horse was registered or a grade, or if it was a mare or gelding. All the horses were well broke and the buyers were there looking for a good quality horse.

The High Plains Ranchers & Breeders Sale was held May 1st in Dalhart, Texas. Eighty ranch-bred horses horses of all ages passed through the sale ring, with 68 of them finding new homes.
The high selling horse of the sale was Zeros Tuffy, a 2003 buckskin gelding, who sold for $6000. A well-broke horse, he was sired by Peppy San Zero by Peppy San Badger and out of Jacks Ladystar by Jack Rowdy Roper.
The sixty-eight head that sold grossed $83,350, with an average price of $1,226 and a sale percentage of 85%. The Top 5 sellers brought $21,550, for an average of $4,310.
