Fort Ranch 34th Annual Sale, quarter horse

The 34th annual Fort Ranch Quarter Horse production sale was held June 25th at the ranch near Promontory, Utah. Seventy-one foals, sired by Gun Goes Boon, Quite A Boon, Zoom Zoom Shorty, Little Pistol Badge, Bobalena Bob, Bet On Binion, Mr. Peppy Olena, and Ricochets Sue, followed their dams into the sale ring to be bid on. Seventy of the 71 youngsters sold.

The highest selling foal was a bay stud colt, who brought $3,100. His sire, Bobalena Bob, is a 1999 NCHA Futurity Semi-Finalist, has an NCHA Certificate of Ability, and has earned $26,907. His dam, Quixote Redlena Prom, is a daughter of Mr Peppy Olena, an NCHA Open Futurity and Open Super Stakes semi-finalist whose offspring have earned over $285,000.

The 70 foals brought a total of $83,650. The average price was $1,195 and the sale percentage was 99%. The Top 5 sellers brought $11,500, for an average of $2,300.
