The Diamond-McNabb Ranch Horse Sale took place June 2, 2012, in the indoor arena at the Powderhorn Ranch in Douglas, Wyoming.  Ninety performance-bred prospects,  a mixture of geldings and mares, were offered. All ninety, from young started prospects to seasoned ranch hands, were sold.

The high selling horse was Spoonful of Gin, a 2005 chestnut AQHA gelding, who sold for $35,000. His sire is Hes A Peptospoonful, National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) money earner of $72,412. His dam is Jo Sue Gin, who’s sire Tanquery Gin was a NCHA money earner of $15,199 and whose offspring have won over $2,089,410.

The ninety horses netted $976,100, with an average sale price of $10,846. The Top 5 sellers brought $132,000, for an average of $26,400.
